Eileen Anderson
Erie 1 BOCES/WNYRIC, School Library System and Library Automation Supervisor

Eileen Anderson is the School Library System Director and Library Automation Supervisor for Erie 1 BOCES and WNYRIC. She leads staff development, advises libraries, and fosters collaboration with state and regional systems. Eileen manages the Library Automation Team and is part of the WNYRIC Management Team, handling budgets and liaising with the State Education Department. She holds advanced degrees in educational leadership, library science, and political science. Her certifications include NYS Library Media Specialist and NYS School Building Leader. Eileen is involved in professional organizations and currently serves as Chairperson, President-Elect, and Representative for various library and media associations.

Rachel Atkins
Supervisor of Instructional Technology, St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES

Drawing on over 20 years of experience as a classroom educator and administrator, Rachel Atkins is a leader in innovative educational practices. She is the project developer for the Bits and Bots Technology Curriculum and is at the forefront of building Artificial Intelligence capacity in education.

Enrique Cachafeiro
Adjunct Faculty, Duke University

Enrique’s interests and passion revolve around the transformation of education and training. After having worked both as a high school teacher and an education and training coordinator, he believes that through smart design and the deliberate and thoughtful implementation of technology we can innovate instruction into something joyful and rewarding. To that end, he has been imagining different ways to educate using game design and new technologies such as AI and VR, and sharing his passion through speaking engagements and conferences. Recently, he completed the Educational Doctorate (EdD) at Appalachian State University, specializing in Instructional Technology Leadership and the nature of instructional innovation.

Lindsay Cesari
School Librarian, Baldwinsville CSD

Lindsay is the National Board Certified Teacher Librarian for Burgee Junior High in Baldwinsville, NY outside of Syracuse. She has led efforts around ebooks, esports, and now AI adoption in her district. 

Thomas Corbin
Research Fellow, CRADLE, Deakin University (Australia)

Thomas is a higher education researcher whose work explores the implications of generative artificial intelligence for teaching, learning, and assessment. Drawing on his background in philosophy, he especially examines how emerging technologies reshape core educational concepts. His work is oriented around how GenAI impacts the three core areas of assessment, reading, and feedback.

Terri Eicholz
Instructional Designer, Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp

My name is Terri Eichholz, and I am an educator with 29 years of classroom experience from K-12. Following my retirement from the classroom I worked as a consultant, conducting professional development for teachers, writing articles about education, and writing curriculum. I was excited to be hired by the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp to develop and lead their teacher programs this year. When I’m not working with educators, I enjoy writing, traveling, and finding quirky ways to connect technology with creativity.

Toby Greenwalt
Principal, Flywheel Strategies – Project Report Writer

Toby Greenwalt is a librarian, technologist, and founder of Flywheel Strategies. He has spent nearly twenty years in the field – always focused on finding new ways for libraries to connect with communities and make their impact known to a wider audience. Toby’s work has pushed the boundaries of what libraries are known for, helping to define and expand competencies in community engagement, data literacy, and digital equity. Through all of his work, Toby is passionate in his belief that public libraries are unique platforms for individual growth and collective development.

Jason Griffey
Executive Director, Open Science Hardware Foundation

I’m the Executive Director of the Open Science Hardware Foundation (OSHF). Previously to joining the OSHF, I was the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the National Information Standards Organization, I worked to identify new areas of the information ecosystem where standards expertise is useful and needed and lead ongoing projects such as NISO’s participation in the Coalition for Seamless Access. Prior to joining NISO in 2019, I ran a technology consulting company for libraries, have been both an Affiliate at metaLAB and a Fellow and Affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. I spent a decade as an academic librarian in roles ranging from reference and instruction to Head of IT at the University of TN at Chattanooga, where I led the changing of the entire digital infrastructure of the library, including acting as Technology Lead on the building of a $48 million, 180,000 sq ft brand new academic library. 

Tom Guskey
Professor Emeritus, University of Kentucky

Thomas R. Guskey, PhD, is Professor Emeritus in the College of Education, University of Kentucky. A graduate of the University of Chicago, he was a middle school teacher, administrator in Chicago Public Schools, and the first Director of the Center for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning, a national educational research center. Dr. Guskey was named a Fellow in the American Educational Research Association and awarded the Association’s prestigious Relating Research to Practice Award. Melissa Jacobs
Director of Library Services / NYC School Library System

Melissa Jacobs is the Director of Library Services for NYC Public Schools and the New York City School Library System, a role she has held since September 2017. She began her career as an elementary school librarian and has worked for 14 years as a Coordinator for Library Services. Jacobs is a recognized leader in the field, having received numerous awards, including the New York Library Association’s Distinguished Service Award and the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Intellectual Freedom Award. She is known for her advocacy for school librarians and her work to promote media literacy, intellectual freedom, and equitable access to information for students. 

David Petty
Education Program Manager / App Inventor Foundation

David Petty is Education Program Manager of the App Inventor Foundation. He is a former public high-school teacher in Massachusetts. He was a member of the MA Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) standards review committee to develop the 2016 MA DLCS Framework and the MA DLCS Tests for Educational Licensure® (MTEL 71). For 20 years, David taught multiple levels of high-school computing, engineering, and autonomous robotics curricula, and coached robotics teams. As past Co-President of the Computer Science Teachers Association Greater Boston chapter, he co-founded the CSTA New England Regional Conference in 2017 and has promoted computing generally and standards-aligned curricula for teachers and students across the state and nationally. 

Cynthia Sandler
Library Media Specialist, North Salem MSHS

Dr. Cynthia Sandler is the Library Media Specialist at North Salem Middle/High School in North Salem, NY where she teaches stand-alone media literacy courses and collaborates across disciplines. Sandler served on the LibraryReady.AI Advisory Team to co-create the School Library Systems of New York AI Scope and Sequence. Sandler creates curriculum, presents locally and nationally, and leads professional learning workshops related to critical media literacy education. Sandler’s research and forthcoming book center on integrating critical media literacy into secondary public schools. 

Patrick Whipple

Qian Yang
Assistant Professor, Computing and Information Science, Cornell University

Yang builds AI systems that augment human thinking. Her past work includes AI tools that help young adults develop psychological resiliency through writing, provide mental health primary care, and teach adolescents strategies for coping with cyberbullying.
